⚓ GIANT BATTLESHIP: Residents Ready for Battle! 🚢

Our residents put their aim and strategy to the test during a fun-filled game of Giant Battleship! From carefully choosing their targets to celebrating those exciting “HIT!” moments, everyone had a wonderful time taking part in a little friendly competition.

Activities like Giant Battleship are more than just fun—they encourage hand-eye coordination, concentration, social interaction, and friendly competition, all while bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to the room.
We love finding creative ways to keep our residents active, engaged, and connected. Who knew sinking a battleship could be this much fun? 💥🚢

Today, our residents enjoyed a therapeutic session at our Coloring Corner, creating these exquisite platters. In today's fast-paced world, it's essential to prioritize relaxation and unwinding, and coloring provides an excellent outlet for doing so. One of the most appealing aspects of coloring is its versatility, as there is no right or wrong approach, allowing individuals to express themselves freely.

Celebrate Elvis Presley Week with us! At Victoria Gardens of Frisco, our residents delighted in our innovative Audio-Book Club, where we explored 'Elvis and Me' by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley, narrated by the esteemed Mrs. Priscilla Presley herself. As we age, accessing our favorite stories can become increasingly challenging. Our Audio-Book Club offers a solution: a traditional book club experience, adapted for audio. Just because physical reading may no longer be feasible doesn't mean the joy of reading is lost. Join us as we push boundaries and make the impossible possible.

On PTSD Awareness Day, we recognize the resilience of those living with post-traumatic stress disorder and the loved ones who walk beside them with unwavering support. The effects of trauma are often invisible, but every resident's experiences deserve to be met with compassion, patience, and understanding.

At Victoria Gardens of Frisco, we believe meaningful care begins by honoring each resident's unique story and creating a community where dignity, respect, and kindness are at the heart of every interaction. Today, we stand with those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder and reaffirm our commitment to providing thoughtful, compassionate care each and every day.

This week, our residents enjoyed the fruits (and vegetables!) of their labor by harvesting fresh, 100% organic tomatoes and bell peppers straight from our community garden.

Every seed planted, every flower that bloomed, and every vegetable picked represents more than gardening. It represents purpose, patience, teamwork, and the simple joy of watching something you care for come to life. Seeing the smiles as everyone proudly gathered their harvest made the experience even sweeter.

At Victoria Gardens of Frisco, we believe the best moments are often the simplest ones, especially when they’re shared together. ❤️

🎬✨ Today at Victoria Gardens of Frisco, our residents gathered to honor Juneteenth by watching Hidden Figures—the inspiring true story of the brilliant women whose contributions helped shape American history and the space program.

As we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, we celebrate resilience, achievement, and the importance of recognizing the individuals whose stories continue to inspire future generations.

Of course, no movie day is complete without popcorn and great company! 🍿❤️
