Over the past several months, you may have noticed I've been a little more intentional about taking time away from the office.
I wanted to share why.
The older I get, the more I realize that time is the one thing we can never make more of. We can always work more. We can always make more money. But we can't make more time.
With young kids who seem to grow overnight, parents who are getting older and facing some health challenges, and everything else life brings, I've realized these moments deserve my attention.
One thing I've heard over and over from older, wiser people has really stuck with me: no one says, "I wish I had worked more." They almost always say they wish they had spent more time with the people they love.
As the owner of a one-doctor practice, I know it can sometimes be frustrating when I'm out of the office and you need care. That's one of the downsides of a small practice. The upside is that every time you come in, you're cared for by the same doctor who knows you, your history, and your goals.
I also believe we all need an occasional mental reset. Whether it's traveling, spending time with family, or simply slowing down for a few days, those moments help us come back refreshed and ready to give our best.
Please know I never take your trust for granted. I do my best to be available and help whenever I can, and I'm incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding as I continue to prioritize both my family and my patients.
Thank you for allowing me to do what I love while also making time for the people I love most.
