💙 **Compassionate guidance makes a difference when families need it most.**
A family recently shared these kind words, with the President of SCI, about their experience with their Funeral Director Tracy Jackman.
Jay,
I wanted to take a moment to share with you personally about the experience I had with Tracy and your team at Stonebriar Funeral Home.
I found my husband, Joe, in our home early in the morning on September 4th. He had passed away unexpectedly, and I was completely in shock. I was emotionally fragile, overwhelmed and, quite frankly, had no idea where to even begin. There was a house full of paramedics and police officers, as I am sure you can imagine, but it was the Frisco Police Department officers who recommended Stonebriar. I am incredibly grateful that they did.
From the moment Tracy answered my first call until I picked up Joe’s death certificates this past Friday, she was absolutely extraordinary.
Joe wanted to be buried in Los Angeles, so ours was not a particularly simple local process. There were arrangements here, coordination with the funeral home in California, transportation, paperwork, timing and countless details that I knew nothing about. Tracy quietly walked me through all of it.
What impressed me most was the way she handled me during an incredibly vulnerable time. She seemed to instinctively understand when I needed information, when I needed guidance, and when I simply needed someone to make the process easier. She was calm, patient, incredibly knowledgeable and always one step ahead. She kept me informed throughout the entire process and made sure I understood what needed to happen, when it would happen, and when Joe would be transported to Los Angeles. I never felt like I had to chase her for an answer or wonder what was happening.
There is a tremendous difference between simply being good at your job and having the ability to make someone feel genuinely cared for while doing it. Tracy has that ability.
Over the years, I have run companies with hundreds of employees, and I found myself thinking throughout this experience that I can only hope the people who have worked for me have treated our customers with half the level of care, ownership and professionalism that Tracy showed me.
Especially in your business, I am sure you hear from families when something goes wrong. I know in business we certainly do. I wanted to make certain you also heard when someone on your team got absolutely everything right.
And while Tracy was the person who guided me through all of this, I also want you to know that every person I encountered at Stonebriar was wonderful. Everyone was warm, personable and genuinely kind. It never felt clinical or transactional. It felt like I was being taken care of.
Please know how grateful I am to Tracy and to Stonebriar for the way I was treated during one of the most difficult and vulnerable times of my life.
Warmly,
