Adult Vaccine Update
May is Hepatitis Awareness Month
The month of May is designated as Hepatitis Awareness Month in the United States. This observance serves as a time to raise awareness about hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C while encouraging testing, vaccination, and timely treatment. During May, CDC and our public health partners work to shed light on the impact of these hidden epidemics by raising awareness of viral hepatitis while encouraging testing and vaccination. Hepatitis Awareness Month activities help to improve everyone’s understanding of viral hepatitis transmission and risk factors and to decrease social stigma against viral hepatitis.

With high temperatures it’s important to stay safe. Especially for older adults. Stay hydrated , stay out of the sun as much as possible, and limit working outdoors. If you have to do yardwork, do it in the early morning or late afternoon when it’s not as hot.

Please remember those in need and help fill up our Blessing Box with non-perishable food items. We also have a refrigerator on the front porch for packaged and dated food items. Please check expiration dates on all items before you put them in the Blessing Box.
