The Nettle Patch, LLC is an herb shop and herbal education center in Frostburg, MD. We source our bulk dried herbs from organic growers and ethical wildcrafters, and support local growers and gatherers whenever possible. We carry a variety of herbs and herbal products, all-natural soaps, herbal teas and tea-making supplies, botanical gifts, books, herbalist supplies, and more. A selection of teas

and herbal-themed food and snacks including soups, breads, cookies, and other herbal treats are available for purchase at the tea bar. We offer classes and workshops to the local community. We offer custom formulation and consultation services as well. We have 25+ years experience in herbalism and a commitment to providing quality herbs and herbal products. We use and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for herbal supplements and topical products as required by the Food and Drug Administration.

The next class is coming up on Friday 8/14 after the Petals & Pedals event. Flower Power will focus on 5 medicinal flowers and how to incorporate them into skin care, gut health, cardiovascular health, first aid situations, and more. This class will be a deep dive into 5 medicinal flowers: Rose, Calendula, Chamomile, Arnica, and Hibiscus. We will discuss applications for stress relief, skin healing, digestive support, cardiovascular support, and first aid. The class will also cover growing and harvesting tips, medicine making techniques, and more. The fee for this class is $35 and includes a handout, herbal tea, a packet of flowers to take home, and samples of creams, infused oils, and hydrosols to try in class. The registration link is in the comments.

The class coincides with the Petals & Pedals event in Frostburg that day 12-4. Stop in and get a flower from the participating businesses to make your own bouquet, and come back for the class to stay immersed in floral beauty. I will be serving floral-themed mocktails and treats in addition to being a flower stop.

(No refunds are given for missed classes. In the event of illness, you can apply the fee to another class. )
