Ladies, did you know that your period is actually another vital sign, right up there with your blood pressure and heart rate?

Think of your cycle as a monthly health report card. A direct window into how your body is doing right now.

So what is it telling you? If your cycle leaves you vomiting, passing out, or stuck in bed for days, that’s common, but it’s not normal. It’s your nervous system waving a red flag. When your nervous system is regulated, your cycle is smooth. Sometimes so smooth it just... shows up, without any warning or drama.

That’s the work we love doing in our office: helping women and girls regulate their nervous systems so their cycles support their lives instead of derailing them. 🩷

This clip is from our last Cycle CEO, our free monthly support group led by Kyanna, where we get into the real conversations about cycle health and the nervous system-hormone connection. Bring your daughter, your sister, your best friend. No question is off limits (and no, you don’t have to be a practice member to attend)!

Our next one is July 11th! Comment “CYCLE CEO” and we’ll send you the details! 🦩

The best 5 days of the month are here ❤️‍🔥 Which means it’s time for my most intense and powerful workout of the month!

During ovulation I love lifting heavy, pushing hard, and hitting RPEs at Ferrum Athletic Company at an 8, 9, or maybe even a 10 after an adjustment from Dr. Craig 🤪

That’s what’s so great about FeRRUM. At Ferrum Athletic Company, every workout is programmed with RPEs (rate of perceived exertion), which is what makes all the difference as a female. When my body’s ready to push to a 7 or 8 out of 10 (usually in my follicular or ovulation phase), I go there with heavy weight. And when I’m in a phase where the same effort of a 7 or 8 is achieved with lighter weight, I honor that too (usually luteal or menstrual).

Cycle syncing really just comes down to listening to your body and honoring where it’s at instead of forcing the same intensity every single week. And right now? My body is saying go. So I’m going. 💪

Follow along for cycle-syncing workouts, nervous system education, and everything you need to take back control of your cycle and your health. And if you’re local to Northeast Florida, come to our Movement Education Moment this Friday, June 26th at 5 PM! It’s a free community workout where you learn how to move with intention. Most women think hitting the gym is about looking good. But strength training is actually one of the only things proven to build bone density, and after 30, women are losing it every single year whether they feel it or not 🤯 Ferrum Athletic Company owners Andrea Werner and Cheri Mooney schooled us on why picking up a barbell might be the most important thing you do for your future self.

This is exactly why we partner with Andrea and Cheri. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, and what they stand for at Ferrum aligns with what we believe at Conquer Health Chiropractic: your body was designed to move, and movement isn’t optional. It’s critical.

It’s also why we talk so much about cycle and hormone health. A clear nervous system (which is what chiropractic care supports) is crucial for healthy cycles and hormones, and so is consistent, intentional movement. The two go hand in hand.

That’s what our monthly Movement Education Moments are all about — educating women in our community on why movement matters! Not for aesthetics. For your health, your bones, your hormones, your future self. 🦩🩵

Send this to someone who needs their sign to start strength training 💪 And make sure to join us at our next Movement Education Moment this Friday, June 26th at 5 PM! Comment “MOVE” to RSVP, spots are limited! 🏋️‍♀️

If you’re a practice member and haven’t been to a Cycle CEO yet, this is your sign 🩷

It’s a free monthly group right here in our office, led by Kyanna, where we get into all things cycle health: what’s actually happening in your body each month, how your nervous system plays a role, and why the adjustments you’re already getting are doing more for your hormones than you probably realize.

It’s also just a really good room to be in. Women and girls of various ages asking real questions, no topic off limits, and a community of like-minded women who love to pay attention to what their bodies are telling them. And yes, sometimes we give away goodies 👀

Bring your daughter, your sister, your friend who needs to hear this stuff. (No, you don’t need to be a practice member to come!)

Our next one is July 11! Comment “CYCLE CEO” and we’ll send you the details to RSVP! 🦩🩵

In last week’s reel, Kyanna led you through a workout on her period, all about slowing down and letting her body set the pace. This week? Completely different energy. Her follicular phase has her feeling strong, so she’s going heavier and chasing the intensity. That’s the whole point of working with your cycle instead of against it. 💪

At Ferrum Athletic Company, every workout is programmed with RPEs (rate of perceived exertion), which is what makes all the difference as a female. When Kyanna is ready to push to a 7 or 8 out of 10 (usually in her follicular or ovulation phase), she goes there with heavy weight. And when she’s in a phase where the same effort of a 7 or 8 is achieved with lighter weight, she honors that too (usually luteal or menstrual).

That’s really what cycle syncing comes down to — just listening to your body and honoring where it’s at instead of forcing the same routine every single week.

Your body’s ability to have a smooth, healthy cycle depends on one thing most women never think about: your nervous system’s ability to feel safe. 🩸

Think of your stress capacity like a cup. Every day, life is pouring into it. Work deadlines, financial pressure, family responsibilities, poor sleep, processed food, environmental toxins. Drop by drop, it fills up. And for a while, your body handles it. You don’t even notice.

But eventually, that cup overflows. And when it does, your body doesn’t just feel stressed; it starts making trade-offs. It pulls resources away from the functions it decides aren’t essential for survival, and your reproductive system is one of the first things to go. That’s when painful periods, irregular cycles, hormonal acne, and PMS symptoms that take over your life start showing up.

The reality is, we can’t empty your cup. Stress isn’t going anywhere. But what we can do is give you a bigger cup, and that’s exactly what chiropractic care does! When your nervous system is functioning clearly, your body can process and adapt to stress instead of being buried by it. More capacity means more resilience, and more resilience means your hormones have the space to do what they’re designed to do.

If you want to learn more about how stress deeply impacts your cycle and you’re local to St. Johns, come to our next Cycle CEO on July 11! It’s a free monthly group where we dive into cycle health, nervous system function, and everything in between. No question is off limits.

My body and hormones are doing something different every week of the month, so my workouts reflect that. The goal is always to support my body, not stress it out. 💪

During my period, rest is the priority. But rest doesn’t have to mean sedentary. I still show up, still move, just with more intention and less intensity. I let my body set the pace and always listen to how I feel.

That’s one of the things I love about Ferrum Athletic Company ! They program with RPEs (rate of perceived exertion), so no matter where you are in your cycle, you can tailor the workout to match your energy that day.

If you’re local to Northeast Florida, come to our next Movement Education Moment on June 19, a free community workout where you learn how to move your body with intention, wherever you are in your cycle.

We will never adjust your spine without seeing it first. That’s our non-negotiable as Gonstead chiropractors, and it’s a big reason we get the results we do.

Just like you wouldn’t let a dentist work on your teeth without an x-ray, we don’t guess with your spine. We look first.

Our x-rays aren’t diagnostic; they show us the patterns your body is holding onto. And when it comes to women struggling with hormonal challenges and painful cycles, we consistently see a few things:

**🩻 Pelvic rotation.** When the pelvis is misaligned, it can put pressure on the nerves that supply the uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes, making it harder for your body to run your cycle efficiently.

**🩻Upper spine compensation.** Your pelvis is the foundation for your entire spine. When it’s off, the rest follows. We often see misalignments at C7, which controls the thyroid, a major player in your hormones. And T9, which controls the adrenals, your body’s stress response center.

When we check and adjust you regularly, we help your body find and hold optimal alignment. And as a result, we see women experiencing smoother, more regular, less painful cycles.

If you’re local and want to learn more about how your cycle really works and how to tap into that power, come to our next Cycle CEO on July 11 🩵 It’s a free monthly group where women of all ages dive into cycle health, how the nervous system plays a role, and no question is TMI or off limits.

Your cycle is so much more than just your period. There’s actually a lot happening over those 26-35 days that most women were never taught.

Your cycle has four distinct phases, and your period is just one of them:

🩸 Menstrual — your body is shedding and resetting. Energy is at its lowest. This is your built-in recovery phase.

🌱 Follicular — your body is building a new egg and ramping up estrogen. Energy and creativity start rising.

🥚 Ovulation — estrogen peaks, an egg is released, and you’re at your most energized and social.

🌙 Luteal — progesterone takes over as your body prepares for a potential pregnancy. Energy gradually winds down.

Every single phase serves a purpose. And when your nervous system is communicating clearly, each phase can do exactly what it’s designed to do.

Beyond chiropractic care, there are so many ways to support your body in each phase, from how you eat and train to how you manage your schedule and energy. That’s what cycle syncing is all about.

If you’re local and want to learn more about how your cycle really works and how to tap into that power, come to our next Cycle CEO on July 11 🩵 It’s a free monthly group where women of all ages dive into cycle health, how the nervous system plays a role, and no question is TMI or off limits.

When Cailin started working at Conquer Health, she had no idea chiropractic care could help her hormones. She’d been living with PCOS since she was 16, which meant irregular cycles, 130+ days between periods, and 10-day heavy painful bleeds when they did show up.

After starting Gonstead chiropractic care herself, her body started responding! Shorter cycles. Shorter, easy bleeds. And now? She gets excited when her period shows up! Through everything she’s learned at Cycle CEO, she knows that having a cycle is a sign of health, and that’s something worth celebrating 🥳

Here’s what most women with PCOS are never told: your hormones don’t operate on their own. Your nervous system is the conductor of the whole orchestra. When that system is under stress and not communicating properly, your cycle is one of the first things to suffer. Gonstead chiropractic care gets to the root of that, helping your nervous system function the way it was designed to so your body can do the rest.

If you’re tired of being told to just manage your symptoms, this is your sign. Comment “CONQUER” and we’ll send you the link to book your free discovery call with our team. Let’s find out what’s possible for YOUR cycle 🦩🩵
