During National Cancer Survivors Month, we celebrate the strength, courage and resilience of all of our cancer patients. We honor those who have faced cancer with determination and remarkable strength - and we celebrate the clinicians, donors and families that walk alongside them in their journey.

At Providence St. Jude, we're privileged to witness these inspiring survivorship stories every day. One of the most powerful expressions of this celebration is at our annual A Walk Among the Stars Fashion Show & Gala, an almost 40-year tradition which pays tribute to our courageous cancer survivors as they grace the runway. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our community at this annual event and year-round, we're able to continue to advance care, foster hope and walk alongside patients every step of the way.

For the first time ever, Chinese characters have been added to Providence St. Jude's Lifetime Giving Wall, a powerful symbol of heritage, tradition and service.

This meaningful milestone honors NT and Arlene Chang, first-generation immigrants from Taiwan whose lives have been shaped by decades of opportunity in the United States. Guided by gratitude, the Changs chose to establish the Nien Er Caring Fund to advance innovative medical technology at Providence St. Jude.

In recognition of their impact, their place on the Guardian Circle section of the Lifetime Giving Wall is uniquely represented through Chinese calligraphy, personally rendered by Arlene herself. The Changs hope this visual representation will inspire other members of the Asian American community to see themselves reflected and give back in the same way.

Thank you to all who joined us April 30 at the Summit House for our annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors event, a beloved evening that brought our community together in support of those in need.

At the heart of the evening was a vision to expand access to care through a new St. Jude Neighborhood Health center, scheduled to open in 2027. Together, we raised over $160,000 in philanthropic support of the new clinic. This clinic represents a new chapter in our Mission to extend care beyond hospital walls and meet our neighbors where they are.

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming the Fullerton Police Department to our Medical Center as they presented the funds raised through their annual Pink Patch Project in support of Providence St. Jude’s breast cancer care.

We are truly fortunate to share such a strong and enduring partnership with our local police department and community, whose commitment and generosity continue to make a meaningful impact on the patients and families we serve at St. Jude.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Fullerton Police Department for their generosity and partnership with Providence St. Jude. Through the Pink Patch Project, funds raised from pink patch sales directly benefit our Breast Center. We appreciate Police Chief Jon Radus, Captain Jose Arana and Public Information Specialist Kristy Wells for presenting the meaningful check and their leadership and commitment to our community.

We’re deeply thankful to the Buena Park Police Association for their incredible 10‑year commitment to raising funds for Providence St. Jude’s Breast Center during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

It was a joy welcoming the officers to the Medical Center to celebrate their fundraising efforts last fall. We truly value their continued dedication to supporting the patients and families we serve.

We’re proud to recognize the Buena Park Police Association and its officers for their generous donation to Providence St. Jude’s Breast Center.
