Stepping Stones ABA (SSABA) offers ABA therapy services in the home, clinic, school, and community settings across Central and Eastern North Carolina. SSABA is locally owned by a BCBA, LP and has been providing services in the area since 2007. We strive to provide therapy that is both structured and fun! Our mission is to help clients reach their goals alongside their families.

October is AAC Awareness Month! 💬💜

Communication looks different for everyone. For some people it’s spoken words, and for others it’s a speech-generating device, a picture board, sign language, or a mix of all of these. AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) gives people more ways to share what they want, how they feel, and who they are.

At Stepping Stones ABA, we believe every way of communicating is valid and worth celebrating. This month, we’re honoring the people who use AAC every day, along with the families, teachers, and therapists who help make sure every voice is heard.

Today we're celebrating our incredible Stepping Stones ABA team — our BCBAs, RBTs, and support staff! Also taking a moment to honor the hard work of every community we serve. From teachers and healthcare workers to tradespeople, first responders, and small business owners, thank you for showing up and making a difference every day.

We were proud to be here for our families today, and we're grateful for every hardworking person who kept things running too. 💜
