All “Bad knees” are impact and loading intolerances.

“bad Knees” = weak knees = poor impact tolerance.

This leads to mobility deficits, stability difficulties, and strength loss.

I’ve seen a lot of overuse knee injuries mostly from high reps, some overloading, in youth athletes. The common theme, most of them have struggled with impact, not absorbing through the entire legs, landing very stiff.

Start with a depth drop to begin building your impact training.

Most people don’t have “bad knees.”
They have undertrained knees.

Pain shows up…
So they rest.
They stop squatting.
They avoid jumping.

And without realizing it—
they lose the exact capacity
their knees need to feel better.

That’s the cycle.

And it doesn’t fix itself.

The solution isn’t rest.
It’s rebuilding.

Squat → Land → Jump

In that order.
With intent.
With progression.

Because your knees aren’t just meant to be pain-free—
they’re built to produce and absorb force.

And that only comes from training it.

⚠️ Getting out of pain isn’t about avoiding stress—
it’s about applying the right amount of it.

The best warm before you lift… in under 5 minutes.

I get asked a lot “what’s a good warm-up before I lift… my hips, shoulders, etc… alway feel stiff.”

Here it is:
On the Assault bike, 4 rounds, 20 secs sprint, with 40 secs cruise.
