Today marks 10 years as a massage therapist which means 10 years of McKenzie Therapeutics! I have worked in several different fields, this is by far the best. I am beyond blessed to be able to have a career that allows me to do what I love.

I am so grateful to all of you who trust me with your bodies, many of you have been with me from the beginning. Whether you’ve been with me from the start or just started as a client, know you are appreciated and that I am so thankful for every day that I get to wake up and go to work!🙏

Flexing in your 40’s!

If you’ve followed my page for a while, you’ve seen me post about running, hitting PRs in the gym, and fun mobility work, but today I want to talk about a whole new flex 💪

That flex is SLEEP 💤

Getting a good nights sleep is definitely something to be excited about. But how do you achieve the highly desired peaceful slumber? Here’s a few tips to get your night started off right!

1. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine
Engage in calming activities before bed, such as reading, meditating, or taking a warm bath. Aim to avoid stimulating activities.

2. Keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.** Consider using blackout curtains, earplugs, or a white noise machine if needed.

3. Reduce screen time at least an hour before bed. The blue light emitted by phones, tablets, and computers can interfere with melatonin production.

Give some of these a try and let me know how it works for you. Remember, consistency and developing habits is the key to success with anything, that goes for sleep too!

💪Movement is a one of the best forms of self care. Find something you enjoy and work on it.

🧠If it’s tough, keep at it, it’s good not only for your body, but your brain will appreciate learning something new! It took me 45 minutes to get this little snippet, and this is only half of the routine, don’t stop if you don’t get it right out the gate, keep getting it!

🕵️‍♀️If there’s something you’re interested in and not sure where to start looking, reach out, I will be able to help find a place where you can ENJOY your movement. It shouldn’t be a chore.
