Patients have long faced the dangers of aortic aneurysms and their tendency to fly under the radar until the last fateful second, but University of Florida Health has recruited a powerful new ally with the ability to sound an alarm before the “silent killer” can strike.
“We believe AI will help unlock who would truly need to be operated on as well as the risk of specific postoperative complications,” said Eric Jeng, M.D., M.B.A., FACS, FACC, director of the UF Health Aortic Disease Center.
