Did you know that some strains of E. coli bacteria can lead to urinary tract infections (UTIs) and even serious blood infections?

Dr. Elder at SIMEDHealth is conducting an important vaccine study for individuals aged 60+ who may be at risk for E. coli-related blood infections.

As a participant, you’ll help advance medical research while being compensated for your time and effort:

On-site visits: $100 each
Phone call visits: $20 each
Reimbursement will be mailed to you directly within 30 days of completing each visit, as confirmed by the study sponsor.

Did you know that some strains of E. coli bacteria can also go into the urinary tract and cause a urinary tract infection (UTI)? Dr. Elder at SIMEDHealth is currently conducting a vaccine study for people 60 years and older who are at risk for blood infections caused by E. coli, the same bacteria that cause UTIs. Participants will be reimbursed for their participation in the study for their time and efforts as per the schedule listed below. You will receive your reimbursement via a check mailed directly to you within 30 days once the Sponsor has confirmed your visit is complete.

We are pleased to inform our patients and the community that SIMEDHealth has again been selected to conduct an Influenza Vaccine Clinical Trial. Our Research team is set to begin this trial at the end of April. Anyone ages 18 and older who never received this past season’s flu vaccine or received their flu vaccine at least six months prior to their trial participation may be eligible. This trial does not contain a placebo arm; ALL participants will receive active vaccine. Compensation for time and travel are available. Call 352-333-3885 to participate!
