Our car wash was more than just getting the therapy bus sparkling clean, it was about teaching valuable life lessons while working towards our physical goals!

While working on strength, coordination, and executive functioning, we were also teaching: Team work, taking pride in your work, and caring for the things we use every day. Learning that the spaces and tools around us require care and maintenance helps build responsibility, independence, and a sense of ownership. 💚

⚽🏆 World Cup Day at Lifting Spirits Therapy! What looked like fun and games was actually purposeful therapy in action. Through kicking, throwing, dancing, balancing, and teamwork, our kiddos worked on strength, coordination, balance, motor planning, body awareness, endurance, and social skills—all while having an amazing time.

This is what pediatric therapy should look like—engaging, meaningful, and full of smiles. Because when children are having fun, they’re motivated to move, learn, and achieve their goals. 💃 🕺

Our speech therapists use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to help children express their wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings while building meaningful communication skills.

Using an AAC device doesn’t replace speech—it supports language development and empowers children to communicate with confidence. Whether requesting a favorite toy, answering questions, or participating in everyday conversations, every interaction is a step toward greater independence.

We loved welcoming the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville Fire Department, and Hall County Mail Services to spend time with our incredible kids! These special visits help children build confidence, strengthen social skills, and create positive connections with the people who serve our community every day.

Therapy doesn’t stop just because it’s your birthday week, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate! This session was filled with hard work, big smiles, and a birthday party to recognize one of our amazing LSTS kids.

Ashley celebrated her birthday in physical therapy, building strength, balance, and confidence while continuing to work toward her goals. After all that effort, we celebrated with a birthday party because milestones outside of therapy matter just as much as the ones we achieve inside the clinic.

At LSTS, we believe progress is important, but so is creating joyful memories and making every child feel celebrated. Happy Birthday Ashley! We hope your day was as incredible as you are! 🎂🎈✨

Therapy doesn’t always happen within the four walls of a clinic! 🛒✨

Today our kiddos took a trip to Walmart to work on real-life skills in a natural environment. Community outings provide opportunities to target social skills, community navigation, safety awareness, sequencing, problem-solving, following directions, self-regulation, and functional independence—all while having fun and building confidence.

These experiences help bridge the gap between clinic-based therapy and everyday life, allowing children to practice meaningful skills where they’ll actually use them.
