Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when detected early. Colonoscopy screening can identify and remove precancerous polyps before they become cancer.

Most adults should begin screening at age 45, but some people may need to start earlier based on family history or other risk factors.

Talk with your healthcare provider about what age screening is right for you. Taking this step today could help protect your health for years to come.

This past weekend, the team at Gastroenterology Associates volunteered with Fauquier FISH, a nonprofit that has been serving Fauquier County since 1983 and provides a variety of programs to help individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Together, the team helped bag 160 meals, supporting an organization that offers food pantry distribution, weekend meal programs for children, senior meals, school supply drives, and more.

Thank you to this team for making a meaningful impact in your community. We’re proud to see One GI associates coming together to support hunger relief through OG Serves.

Follow along throughout July as we continue to highlight the many ways our teams are serving their local communities.
