Chlorine exposure can add up fast in the summer.

It’s a strong oxidizing agent, and with repeated exposure it can disrupt the skin barrier, irritate mucous membranes, and impact the respiratory tract.

Over time, this contributes to oxidative stress, often showing up as red eyes, dry or reactive skin, coughing, or that “off” feeling after swimming.

Some kids feel this more than others, especially those with methylation challenges (like MTHFR), where the body may be less efficient at managing oxidative and environmental stress.

In practice, we support this in two ways:

Chlorinum (homeopathic) is used when the symptom pattern reflects chlorine-type irritation, supporting the body’s response through the principle of similarity.

We also support underlying pathways. Methylation is closely tied to glutathione production, one of the body’s primary antioxidants, and can be supported with targeted nutrients like methylated B vitamins (e.g., Bio-3B-G)
