I am so honored to be one of these authors of this NEW ACOG guidance for partnering with doulas. It was an honor to work with this team of physicians and doula leaders. This is their strongest statement and plan to date! I hope this continues to lift of the need to join together to make change.

It’s an honor to do this work! I am also so glad that DONA was asked to review and endorse along with some other impactful organizations.

It’s the best kind of tired. This week I have had the honor of holding space for 3 amazing, strong, intense, life changing moments for families as they welcomed their little ones. Each unique and powerful in its own way. Thank you to all that allow me the honor of being present as a part of their team. Thank you to the amazing nurses, midwives, and OBs that see these families and do all they can to hold their space too. I am grateful. So excited for this evenings off call rest!

I have chosen midwives for each of my births and have benefited personally from their caring, nurturing approach.

I get to stand alongside midwives in many capacities. Bearing witness to how they show up. Listening, educating, advocating, holding space and lifting up others. In every space from the clinic to the hospital and in the community. Happy International Day of the Midwife. I hope you feel valued and appreciated today and every day of the year!

This week I trained 13 new amazing doulas, supported a strong mama through a powerful vaginal birth, another sweet repeat mama through a beautifully supported surgical birth, and wrapping it up at MK with my boys! Living my best life!

I always state that I feel honored to serve and support families as their doula, to be welcomed to such a transformative life event.

And yet I have a hard time summing up what it truly is to be in this space. To be trusted to pour into the foundation of others that desire to begin their doula journey. I feel humble, grateful, and full.

What an amazing 4 days. There was laughter, tears, growth, and genuine connection.

Thank you to everyone who has made this happen, thank you to those that came in support of connection to these amazing new doulas. Thank you to Julia .space___ for being you. I am so grateful to have you in my life.

This group of people will touch so many lives! Congratulations to each of you. I am excited for the next steps together!
