Recently the Interface-Gainesville team came together to film a game show-style training video about contraband in youth shelters, and we're so proud of what we accomplished. This project was made possible by the dedication of our staff, the support of our partners, and the incredible patience and professionalism of the youth who participated on camera. We may have a few future actors in our midst!

This video honors a vision that was important to our team, and we're excited that it will soon serve as a training resource for youth shelters across Florida. Thank you to everyone who helped bring it to life, and a very special thank you to the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services team for spending the day with us and supporting the project every step of the way. We’re so grateful for your partnership!

Proud to represent CDS East at the PAL (Police Athletic League) Back to School Bash backpack giveaway event, on Saturday July 25th at the Calvary Life Center in Palatka, FL. There are lots of vendors giving away school supplies today from 11am-2pm as well as a food distribution too. Come out and get your child ready for the new school year coming up!

What a great afternoon at Celebrate the Child, hosted by Partnership for Strong Families! We had so much fun connecting with families, sharing information about our services, and seeing so many smiling faces at our booth. And we're excited to share that CDS took home 2nd Place in the event's Table Decorating Contest! 🎉

A big thank you to Partnership and to everyone who stopped by! We can't wait to see you at the next community event!

Attention community: Family Promise Gainesville needs pantry food STAT!
We are trying our best to respond to the needs of the folks we serve which means addressing food insecurity. The summer is tough with families having to provide a lot more food while school is out. Recently we’ve begun some food deliveries to families in our program- but we also have folks stopping by daily for resource navigation and case management and our little pantry is running low! If you can drop off snacks, non-perishable food for meals like rice, noodles, ramen, bread and PB&j, our families would greatly appreciated. Drop off times at our office are Tuesday through Thursday 9 AM to 4 PM… And if you are interested in preparing a meal for a family and delivering it - email our Director of Community engagement Leigh Scott [email protected].
