Happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙. Living the American Dream. 🇺🇸. Feeling so patriotic and grateful I call America my home and that I was born in the USA.
I think about 1984- when I had an album of Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA and listening to the album today makes me nostalgic. Of my childhood in a small town in WV, of slip ‘n slide, my favorite coke and milk, jello, playing Nintendo, riding my bike, sun bathing, ballet and dancing, and pancakes.
I think about my father and his legacy. My parents immigrated to the US in the 70s. My dad built his life and companies from scratch - all from a strong will and work ethic. I miss my dad, and I know he would want me to be strong, and remember his legacy, his deep generosity, his strong work ethic, his integrity, of remembering to try my best, and trusting God.
I just think it is so cool my dad immigrated here in 70s, built his wealth, and provided for his family and his community. Coming to America and living here and building something from nothing is the American dream! My dad always said “do what your heart desires” he never set a limit on what we could achieve, especially living in this country, the land of opportunity and freedom. I feel nostalgic and grateful. America you’re beautiful, abundant, generous, and I love your country roads. I was born in the USA and I have my Dad to thank. ❤️🤍💙
