Congratulations, Melany, and all of the 2026 scholarship recipients on this well-deserved achievement!

Bethany St. Joseph Corporation is honored to announce three outstanding CNAs, Melany Gonzalez-Arriaga, Jayda Berg, & Denali Huebner, as the 2026 Adele M. Stolder Scholarship recipients.🌟

Melany Gonzalez-Arriaga is our first scholarship recipient. Melany’s dedication to caring for others is evident in everything she does at Marinuka Manor. Her compassion, perseverance, and commitment to both her education and her residents reflect the qualities of an exceptional future nurse. As she pursues her Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Winona State University, Melany is working toward her dream of becoming a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse, where she hopes to provide comfort and expert care to infants and their families.

Jayda Berg, our second scholarship recipient, emphasized that working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Onalaska Care Center has strengthened her passion for healthcare and affirmed her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Jayda is currently studying Biology: Allied Health at Winona State University and plans to continue her education to become a Physician Assistant. Her caring nature, dedication to learning, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care have made Jayda a valued member of the BSJ team.

Denali Huebner, our third scholarship recipient, has built a strong foundation for her nursing career through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Norseland Nursing Home. Entering her senior year of nursing school, she continues to excel academically while gaining valuable hands-on experience that will prepare her for a career as a Registered Nurse. In addition to maintaining dean's list honors at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Denali will have the opportunity to study abroad, expanding her perspective on healthcare and enriching her nursing education. Her drive to learn, commitment to excellence, and passion for serving others make her an outstanding scholarship recipient.

The power of community is huge! Even when it comes to something as simple as... pens. 🖊️

From a package mailed from MN to numerous drop-offs this past week, Marinuka Manor has been showered with a few hundred pens! We made a request for people to clean their junk drawers, desk cups, and anywhere else pens might be hiding and we asked people to bring them to us at Marinuka Manor for the staff to refill the pen stash.

Certainly, it's easy to click "Add to Cart" and a day or two later, have a package of just as many pens delivered to our door. Here at Marinuka, we like to think outside the box and restocking pens is no exception. We are grateful for so many people that took time to clean out spaces in their homes and drop off their zip lock bags, coffee cans, boxes, and packages of new pens that were collecting dust in their life. It brought familiar faces and new faces through our doors, a few volunteer applications picked up, and so many kind words & smiles shared!

Marinuka Manor is nestled in such a great community that is full of helpers! Even if it's just to collect some pens.

Our residents celebrated the county fair last week, and what better way to celebrate with fresh homemade lemonade! What a refreshing treat! 🍋😋

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support this year's Car Show Fundraiser! Thank you to Ram Rods Car Club and its members for bringing 25 beautiful classic cars to the show and for their generous donation of the entry fees collected this year! Our residents had a wonderful time admiring the vehicles and getting to ask questions about them.

Thank you as well to everyone who purchased meals and made donations to support the event. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $568.70, after expenses, that will go towards resident programming. It was a fantastic day, and we're already looking forward to next year's event!

The cars are rolling in! Stop in by today from now until 2 PM to see the classic cars, and purchase a hot dog or brat meal from 11 AM - 2 PM to support our residents and staff!
