These are my twins.

And yes, they basically treat the office like their personal gym.

But this stage?

It matters more than most people realize.

Crawling isn’t just cute.

It’s foundational.

When babies crawl, they’re building strength through their shoulders and hips.

They’re developing coordination between the left and right sides of their body.

They’re shaping healthy spinal curves.

They’re teaching their brain and nervous system how to communicate properly.

It’s one of the first major movement patterns that wires the body for posture, balance, and future athletic ability.

That doesn’t mean babies need to crawl all day.

But we shouldn’t rush them past it either.

Too much time in swings, seats, and walkers can replace the natural movement their spine was designed to practice.

As a chiropractor, I care about spinal development.

As a dad, I care about giving my kids the strongest foundation possible.

Let them move.

Let them explore.

Let them build the strength their bodies were designed for.

That’s where thriving starts.
