How often should you test?

Sexually active adults should get tested for STDs at least once a year, but your frequency depends on your sexual activity and history.

🕒Every 3 to 6 months: If you have multiple partners, have new or anonymous partners, don't consistently use barrier methods, or take HIV PrEP.

🕐Annually: For all sexually active adults, including anyone who has a new partner.

🕐At least once in your lifetime: Everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 should receive an HIV test at least once as part of routine care.

🤰🏽During pregnancy: Routine screenings for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B/C should be done early in pregnancy to protect both the parent and the baby.
