Iris Sullivan saw the danger just before the little child could reach the dessert sample.
The room thought the intervention was an embarrassing mistake.
“What are you doing?” Harper Walker demanded.
“Please keep everyone back,” Iris Sullivan replied. “Something here does not match.”
Instead of arguing, Iris Sullivan preserved the scene. Gavin Ellis created a safe boundary, secured the item, and stopped anyone from changing the evidence.
Then a tamper-evident bag held by security revealed what the crowd had missed: the preserved object can now be examined without alteration.
The accusations stopped. Every face turned toward a nervous caterer beside the service door, who already seemed to understand what the evidence meant.
Nobody chased or touched the witness. Security simply protected the exits and asked everyone to remain calm.
That was when the final revelation changed everything: The secondary witness whispers, “You were never supposed to notice that.”
