Hi 👋🏼 everyone!

Today, let’s discuss RHINOPLASTY! 👃🏼

Watch the following video 🎥 highlighting 3 young women who all had concerns regarding the cosmetic appearance of their nose. One of the patients also had a significantly deviated nasal septum which was able to be addressed at the time of her surgery.

Many changes occur to the nose over the first 1-2 years following rhinoplasty. It’s important to be PATIENT and allow the body to heal and swelling to resolve. 👍🏻

Hi 👋🏼 everyone!

It’s time for our September 📚🎓✏️Cleft & Craniofacial Team Conference 📸 . Here are sweet captured moments with a few of our !!

💜 Neskin is 13 years after cleft lip and palate repair!
💙 Ayaan is almost 3 years after bilateral cleft lip repair and 2.5 years after bilateral cleft palate repair

Where does time ⏰ go!?!?

I can’t stress how important it is in craniofacial surgery to be part of a strong team. I am so grateful to be surrounded by this amazing group of orthodontists, oral surgeons, dentists, geneticists, ENT’s, nurses, social workers and speech pathologists. We meet together once a month to evaluate our patients and formulate current and long term plans for these kids. It is so important for parents to know that there is strong, cohesive team behind the care of their kids.

Mission: Transforming children’s lives one smile at a time. 😄

Hi 👋🏼 everyone!

Watch the following video 🎥  cataloging this ’s  progress over the 8 years following her LEFT complete cleft lip and palate reconstruction.

It is so very important for parents to see and understand the many changes that occur to the lip, nose and scar during the months and years following their child’s cleft repair.

I try my best to reassure parents along the way, as SO many changes happen over time. Some changes will require intervention, and others just need time and (of course) patience. 😇 👼

Hi 👋🏼 everyone!

Watch the following video 🎥 cataloging this ’s progress over the last 9 years following her left complete cleft lip and palate repair.

This little girl's journey was unique because she presented to me at one year of age from Bangladesh. She needed open heart surgery before we could repair her cleft. Because of her older age, we performed her palate repair BEFORE her lip repair so that the palate was intact in time for her speech production. Every child’s journey is unique!

The importance of speech 🎤📣💬evaluation and follow up is also critical for those patients with a cleft palate.
