We are always proud to support both our current and former residents as they continue to make an impact in orthopedics and sports medicine.

Our physicians recently attended a Smith+Nephew USA educational dinner to support a presentation by former resident Chaitu Malempati, D.O. Dr. Malempati is currently an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Physician at the University of Kentucky, and serves as a team physician for Western Kentucky University’s football and basketball programs.

It is always rewarding to see our residency graduates thrive in their careers and contribute to the advancement of orthopedic education and patient care. We appreciate the opportunity to learn from and celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni.

Warm up the core: A stiff back leads to compensated swings and injury. Spend 10 minutes stretching your thoracic spine and hips before your first tee.

Let the hips rotate: Power comes from the ground up, not just your arms. Proper hip rotation saves your lower back from taking the brunt of the force.
