For too long, Direct Support Professionals have shared a Standard Occupational Classification with roles that have some of the same responsibilities, but are different.

With your help, that could change. Recently, a U.S. Senate committee unanimously passed the Recognizing the Role of the Direct Support Professionals Act. Now, the bill heads to the Senate for a vote this fall.

Doctors didn’t give Brady’s parents much hope for his future when he was born with Down syndrome in 1971. Thankfully, they didn’t listen.
