Shirley was born September 8, 1932 to Herbert and Catherine Schmittling. She was baptized in November 1932 at St. Matthew Lutheran in Detroit where she attended grade school through 8th grade and was confirmed in 1945. John Curzytek, 74, passed away peacefully at his home on August 15, 2026. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, proud Air Force veteran, and Ford retiree of 30 years.
