If the passing occurs at home or outside of a healthcare facility, you’ll need to contact emergency personnel before your loved one can be taken into care. If they were under a physician’s care, contacting their doctor is also recommended.

If the passing occurs in a hospital or care facility, the staff will handle notifying the proper authorities and will contact the funeral home if that information has been provided.

Emergency and medical professionals will guide you through the necessary paperwork, including the medical certificate.

This is often one of the most emotional moments, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

For many, it was a day filled with love, celebration, and time together.

But for others, it may have been quiet.
A little heavier.
A reminder of someone deeply missed.
