Larry D. Bruce, Sr., age 81 of Kimberly, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1944, in Gainesville, Georgia.

Larry lived a life marked by faith, integrity, hard work and unwavering love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from Bradford Health Services after 29 years of dedicated service.

He is preceded in death by his parents; James Howard Bruce, Sr. and Ruth Roland; his brothers James H. Bruce, Jr. and Dennis L. Bruce and his sister, Carol Miller.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Martha L. Bruce; his daughter, Kerri Smith (Gene), his son, Larry D. “Bubba” Bruce, Jr. (Carolyn); his sister, Patsy Dial; his sister-in-law, Hilda Childress (Glenn); his grandchildren, Jake Estes (Mallory), Riane Estes, BreAnna Bailey (Demetrius), and Connor Bruce (Kati); his bonus grandchildren, Megan Rowe (Jamie) and Evan Smith (Karleigh), and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Larry’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Larry had a generous heart and a love that was felt by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. Dana S. Brown, age 67 of Mt. Olive, passed away July 22, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father, C.H. Erskin Smith; sisters, Leigh Stephens and Julie Scotto and her stepson, Jonathan Brown.

Dana is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Jonathan Brown; mother, Mary Barbara Smith; sons, Jason Lovell (Kaeli) and Alex Lovell (Kristi); stepson, Daniel Brown (Tara); grandchildren, Harper, Collin, Mary Allison, Charli, Olivia Grace and Kelsey Lynne, as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Dana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed traveling to Orange Beach, listening to Classic Rock and Country music and cooking for her family. She was famous for her lasagna and shrimp boils. She was a fan of The University of Alabama football and girls softball teams and she also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Dana had a servant’s heart. She loved helping people. She worked as an Occupational Therapist and in Home Health Care. The memory of her beautiful smile and contagious sense of humor will be cherished by her family.
A chapel service to honor her life will be held at Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2026 beginning at 10:30 am. The family will receive guests for 30 minutes prior to the service time. Dana will be laid to rest in Calcedonia Cemetery in Mt. Olive.

Marinox R. Moore, age 93 of Gardendale, passed away on July 21, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl T. Rogers and Mary Knox Rogers; husband Charles M. Moore, Sr. and her son, Charles M. Moore, Jr.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her children, Patty Haught (Randy), Libby McCurry (Andy), Ginger Brown and Roger Moore; grandchildren, Mitchell Moore (Melissa) and Marissa Boehm; Jennifer Ware McCarty, Bradley Haught, Dallas Eubanks (Andrea), Neil Brown (Erin), Morgan Brasfield (Brooks), Preston Moore (Katie) and Jordan Moore; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Moore, Brooks Moore, Walter Boehm, Wright Boehm, Isaac Ware, Annika-Rose Eubanks, Maddox Gooch, Emmi Brown, Lenora Brasfield and Betty Brasfield; sister, LaClair Young, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services to honor her life will be held Friday, July 24, 2026, at Hope Community Church in Gardendale. Visitation will be from 10am – 12pm. Funeral service will begin at 12pm. Mrs. Moore will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.

Harold Wayne Gorham, age 72 of Dolomite, passed away on July 18, 2026 with his loving wife by his side.

Harold is preceded in death by his father, Lynn Gorham; mother Vonda Gorham Huffstutler; brothers, Roger Gorham and Ronnie Gorham and his granddaughter Jesslyn Gorham.

Left to cherish Harold’s memory is his wife, Paula Landrum Gorham; children, Jeremy Gorham, Mitchell Landrum, and Tracy Goodwin; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Randy Gorham; sister, Bonnie Sherbett; a host of extended family members and many dear friends as well as his furry companions; JoJo, LuLu, Coco and Hellcat.

Harold was gentle, loving, and generous. He and Paula were married onstage at The Grand Old Opry. They enjoyed a life filled with laughter, travel and country music. Providing for his loved ones brought him great joy. He and Paula enjoyed entertaining and taking trips with their family. Harold was deeply devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He treasured every moment he spent with his family from tea parties to a backyard BBQ any time with family was always time well spent. Harold was mischievous and loved to joke and have a good time. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Road King, Dyna Glide and his 1964 Harley Davidson. Harold was always willing to help a friend in need. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
