Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. held its 2nd Annual Spring Gather & Grow Breakfast event at J. Anthony’s Grill in Auburn May 7th. The annual fundraiser gathers area leaders across various industries as well as State Legislators and the organization’s leadership team and Board of Directors, led by Board Chair Vera Tice. Attendees enjoyed meaningful networking, breakfast, and a presentation on The Power of Gratitude from renowned speaker, Jerry Posner. State Representatives Joseph McKenna and Paul Frost presented Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. President & CEO Holly Chaffee with a Proclamation recognizing the organization’s 120 Years of Service.

The annual event provides opportunity for local residents to access health resources, learn about healthy habits, and connect with healthcare providers and organizations. The event featured 50+ organizations engaging with visitors to promote health awareness and community engagement. May 4-6, 2026 – Manchester, NH

The New England Home Care & Hospice Conference & Trade Show was held at the DoubleTree Manchester from May 4th to May 6th. The Conference, gathering 400+ leaders from New England, featured a robust 3- day agenda of educational and operational sessions, as well as regulatory updates and a full exhibit hall. Members of Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc.’s leadership team were integrally involved in the conference as session presenters, or podcast guests. Attending from Care Central were Holly Chaffee, MSN, BSN, RN, President & CEO, Amy Jo, PT,PCC Chief Clinical & Strategy Officer, Kelly Loescher, OTR/L, Clinical I.S. April 29, 2026- Fitchburg
The Community Health Network Area (CHNA) Partnership Breakfast held Wednesday at the Fitchburg campus of Health Alliance -Clinton Hospital, brought together a diverse group of healthcare leaders, community organizations, public health officials, and regional stakeholders with a shared goal: improving the health and well-being of North Central Massachusetts residents.
Hosted as part of the ongoing CHNA collaborative effort, the breakfast served as both a progress update and a forum for connection. Attendees heard highlights from recent community health initiatives, including efforts to address behavioral health access, housing instability, food insecurity, and chronic disease management—key priorities identified through the region’s Community Health Needs Assessment.

Music, smiles, and community filled the room as we welcomed the Gardner Strummers, a wonderful senior citizen ukulele group led by Nina Vecchi, to our Adult Day Health program!
Our participants enjoyed an afternoon of lively songs, singing along, clapping, and sharing in the joy that music brings. Visits like these create meaningful connections and remind us how powerful music can be in lifting spirits and bringing people together.
A heartfelt thank you to the Gardner Strummers for sharing their time, talent, and wonderful energy with us. We look forward to having them back again soon!

Senator Jamie Eldridge hosted the 44th Annual Senior Conference on Thursday at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough, MA. Seniors from Middlesex and Worcester counties. The annual conference is designed to offer seniors a day filled with valuable information, entertainment, and educational workshops led by expert guest speakers. Senator Eldridge also provides complimentary breakfast and lunch and avails himself to listening to the concerns of individuals from the area, as well as facilitating access to additional members of the MA legislature. Representing Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. at the event was Terri Saveall, Community Liaison.

Legislative Gathering at Point Breeze on Webster Lake

Area legislators and community leaders gathered Monday evening at Point Breeze for introductions to Brian Shortsleeve, Candidate for Governor of Massachusetts. Representing Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. at the event was Kristin Mattson, PT, Chief Development & Clinical Care Transitions Officer. Kristin relished the opportunity to connect directly with legislators to share the challenges facing non-profit, community-based healthcare organizations in the current regulatory and reimbursement environment.
