The Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber of Commerce held its Scholarship Evening on the Lake Event aboard the Indian Princess Wednesday evening. The well attended event featured recognition and celebration of the 2026 scholarship award recipients, who each shared their college plans this fall, while fundraising for next year’s scholarship awards. Representing Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. at the event were Holly Chaffee, MSN, BSN, RN, President & CEO and Kristin Mattson, PT, Chief Development & Clinical Care Transitions Officer.

Heywood Healthcare held a ceremonial ribbon cutting to unveil Heywood Hospital’s new helipad, developed in partnership with UMass Memorial Life Flight.

The helipad is a significant step forward in enhancing emergency medical access for our community and will help reduce critical transport times for patients requiring advanced care, while optimizing coordination with regional emergency responders. Representing Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. at the ceremony was Richard Eastham, Community Liaison.

The annual fundraiser gathers area leaders across various industries as well as State Legislators and the organization’s leadership team and Board of Directors, led by Board Chair Vera Tice. Attendees enjoyed meaningful networking, breakfast, and a presentation on The Power of Gratitude from renowned speaker, Jerry Posner. State Representatives Joseph McKenna and Paul Frost presented Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. President & CEO Holly Chaffee with a Proclamation recognizing the organization’s 120 Years of Service.

The annual event provides opportunity for local residents to access health resources, learn about healthy habits, and connect with healthcare providers and organizations. The event featured 50+ organizations engaging with visitors to promote health awareness and community engagement.
