(A Little Late…) Thanksgiving at Pathway House.

We may be about a week behind on posting this, but the gratitude is still fresh — we promise!
Last week, our residents came together to cook a full Thanksgiving meal and share it around the table. From chopping vegetables to swapping stories, the kitchen was filled with teamwork, laughter, and the kind of connection that makes recovery stronger.
Even though this post is fashionably late, the moment was too meaningful not to share. These gatherings remind us that community is built one shared meal — and sometimes one delayed post — at a time.
We’re grateful for every person who helped make the day special. From our Pathway House family to yours, we hope your holiday season is off to a warm and hopeful start.

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Dorris and her family back to Pathway House.

For more than a decade, Dorris has carried forward the memory of her son, Mike G.—a proud Pathway House graduate who passed away over ten years ago—through continued acts of kindness and generosity. Twice each year, she and her family donate toiletries to our current residents, ensuring that Mike’s spirit of compassion continues to make a difference.

Their visit last week was a heartfelt reminder of what redefining community support truly means—connection, dignity, and shared care that lasts across generations.

From everyone at GAAMHA, Inc. and the Pathway House community—thank you, Dorris. Your generosity continues to inspire real impact.
