Full-Time – Front Office Specialist
Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a Front Office Specialist that will be responsible for handling patients in the clinic, as well as, helping manage Telemed patients. This includes vehicle check-ins, collecting/verifying insurance information, and collecting co-payments or deductibles for office visits. Other duties include greeting patients, follow-up calls, answering multiple phone lines, screening calls, transferring calls to the appropriate department, and returning calls as indicated.
Front Office Specialist:
Greets patients/customers, insurance verification, data entry into EMR, basic math skills, collecting co-payments/deductibles/balances, answers phones, end of day balancing.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
0-2 years experience in front office clinic/urgent care setting.
H.S Diploma or equivalent required
Experience with MS Word and MS Excel
Knowledge of HIPAA, ability to work independently and as a team.
Must have a pleasant disposition with a desire to provide great customer service.
Knowledge of office equipment to include fax, and copy machine.
Must be willing to travel as needed to other clinics.
We are an urgent care clinic and our hours are Mon-Fri 9 am – 9 pm; Sat 9 am – 6 pm & Sun 10 am – 6 pm. Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
