Growing up, Aaron learned all about emergency medical services from his father who was a paramedic. Aaron enjoyed listening to stories of being on the ambulance and learned about how his father was able to help others—something he realized he also wanted to do in his career. In high school, Aaron took a first responder course and hasn’t looked back since.

Aaron takes pride in what he does as a paramedic for Anderson County EMS and enjoys getting to meet people from all walks of life. It’s a commitment he carries with him to every call he responds to.

“I am most proud of and grateful to be able to serve and show kindness when people are in the most challenging times of their lives,” Aaron says.

That dedication extends beyond each call and into the strong team environment around him.

“The team at Anderson County is amazing,” Aaron says. “We help each other both on and off-duty. We get the job done.”

This week, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the EMS professionals that make a big impact in our community each day!

“If we have a tough call or a stressful situation, someone is always willing to talk it out with you or be there to cheer you up,” Sarah says.

Georgia began her career at Anderson County Hospital on April 10, 2000, and officially retired on April 10, 2026—26 years to the day her adventure began. For two and a half decades, Georgia enjoyed rounding on departments and helping track down products they don’t normally stock. She also appreciates the many friendships that have developed through the years, especially those with her back hall coworkers.

“It’s been a fun time,” Georgia says. “I love what I do. And I’m going to miss everybody.”

Geogia’s husband will retire at the end of the year, and the couple has plans to take a cruise in February. She also looks forward to spending more time with her grandkids and reading. Congratulations, Georgia! 🎉
