We had a wonderful time at Chandler Place in Kendallville last week! We enjoyed touring the facility, delicious food from Party on the Patio, and refreshing drinks from Good Boy Coffee Co.

It was also a great opportunity to connect with friends and spend time visiting with representatives from Paradigm Health, Smith Farms, Bowen Center, Heartland Home Health & Hospice, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Hamilton Home Care.

Nothing says summer like chicken cooking on the grill!

This week, the Combs and Lung families prepared grilled chicken for all residents and staff at Miller's, and it was absolutely delicious. It felt like the good old days with Chris Combs back at the grill, joined by his family, cooking their famous chicken recipe.

The best part was seeing the recipe being passed down to the next generation. We look forward to the day Cora and Kaydie take over the cooking!

Amy Romans, OTR, is our Occupational Therapist and has been the lead of the therapy team at Miller's of Garrett for several years. Amy started her career at the Sullivan, Indiana Miller's Merry Manor.

With her years of experience, Amy has helped many patients regain their independence and return home following a hospitalization through rehabilitation at the Garrett facility.

Warmer weather is the perfect excuse to get outside for games and enjoy a refreshing freeze pop in the courtyard!

Our Activities Department has been working hard to introduce new games that challenge our skills while keeping everyone active and having fun. Today we played Cup Blast, and it definitely put our upper body strength and coordination to the test!

The best part? Many of these creative games are inspired by ideas found on Facebook and use simple items you probably already have around the house.
