In the wake of the devastating August 11 storm that impacted Gary and communities throughout Northwest Indiana, one thing has continued to stand out: the strength, resilience, and heart of our community. 🌧️➡️💙

Community HealthNet Health Centers was proud to partner with UnitedHealthcare at Save More to connect with our neighbors, share valuable health resources, answer questions, and remind our community that you don’t have to navigate difficult times alone.

Although National Health Center Week was celebrated August 2–8, its message continues beyond one week. This year’s theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most,” is a reminder that community health centers are here to meet people where they are — especially when our communities need us most. 🩺🤝

After the storm, access to resources, information, and support is more important than ever. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by, participated, and allowed us to be a part of your day.

My heart goes out to everyone in Lake County and the surrounding communities who have been impacted by the recent storms. I’m praying for those who have experienced damage, power outages, and other challenges during this difficult time.

During times like these, it’s important that we take care of not only our homes, but also our health and well-being.
