Achieve Behavioral Health Services is happy to share the mission of Recovery Church Gaston through the Greg Wheeling Scholarship Fund.

Greg’s generosity continues to open doors for individuals taking their next steps in recovery by helping cover sober living admission fees and initial housing costs, removing financial barriers and replacing them with hope.

Greg’s legacy lives on through every life touched by this scholarship, and we’re grateful to help amplify Recovery Church’s efforts in continuing his impact.

Many individuals in recovery carry experiences and challenges that others may never see.

Understanding the connection between trauma and substance use helps create more compassionate conversations, stronger support systems, and safer paths toward healing.

Recovery is about more than sobriety; it’s also about healing emotionally, mentally, and physically. 💙

Earlier this week, Josh Bone attended the premiere of a powerful new documentary highlighting the history and impact of Oxford House, Inc. while sharing the recovery journeys of five Oxford House participants.

The event brought together members of both the professional and recovery communities for an evening of networking, fellowship, and inspiration. Special thanks to Lori Moss of Gaston Oxford House for the invitation.

Pictured are community partners and recovery advocates including Richard Cooley, Lance Justice of Lighthouse Recovery Sober Living, April Parker of Ascend Recovery Center - North Carolina, and Keith Gibson, Regional Manager for Oxford House of North Carolina.

Events like these remind us of the power of connection, recovery, and community collaboration.

Last week, Josh Bone had the honor of speaking at the IOP Graduation Ceremony for Phoenix Counseling Center in Lincoln County, celebrating individuals who have worked hard to achieve meaningful milestones in their recovery journeys.

During the event, Josh connected with Chasty King of Phoenix Counseling and Gaylan’s House of Hope, as well as Phoenix Counseling CEO, Kevin Oliver.

For Josh, this event represented more than a speaking opportunity; it was a true full-circle moment. Years ago, Phoenix Counseling played a significant role in his own recovery journey. Having participated in the program multiple times over a two-year period, the support and guidance he received helped lay the foundation for the life he lives today.

To stand before graduates, sharing his story of hope and recovery at the very organization that once helped save his life, was both humbling and inspiring. Moments like these serve as a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that today’s struggles can become tomorrow’s testimony.

Congratulations to all of the graduates on this important achievement, and thank you to the Phoenix Counseling team for the opportunity to be part of such a special day.

Josh Bone and participants had the opportunity to view The Creative High, a powerful documentary highlighting how art can transform lives impacted by addiction and recovery.

A special thank you to keynote speaker Samantha Short with ICGH for sharing her personal recovery journey. Her story was a powerful reminder that healing is possible, hope is real, and recovery can open the door to a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Events like these help reduce stigma, spark important conversations, and showcase the many pathways to recovery. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event impactful. đź’ś
