Here we grow (again)! Please join us in welcoming Pedro Gonzalez, our new Maintenance Director at Prime Gastonia!🌟

Pedro brings more than 40 years of maintenance and healthcare experience, along with a true passion for creating safe, comfortable spaces that feel like home.

Originally from the Chicago area, Pedro’s journey has taken him from Puerto Rico to proud service in the U.S. Army and into a decades-long career as a Maintenance Director in healthcare. Along the way, he’s learned that great maintenance is about more than keeping a building running—it’s about being dependable, solving problems, and taking care of the people who call it home.

Pedro is excited to bring that experience to Prime Gastonia and looks forward to getting to know our Founding Feathers, lending a helping hand, and making sure their new home is ready for all the memories ahead!

Today, we honor the grandparents who have shaped generations, and we celebrate the stories they are still writing.

Their legacy lives in the families they have built, the love they have given, and the values they have passed on. It is found in the people who are better because they knew them—and in the moments, big and small, that continue to shape the lives around them.

As we prepare to welcome our first residents, we look forward to becoming part of these stories and creating a place where new memories, friendships, and chapters can unfold.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001 — a day forever etched into the heart of our nation.

We honor the lives lost, the heroes who served and sacrificed, and the families who carry their memory forward.

Today, we proudly hung the very first American flag at Prime Gastonia.

But this isn’t just any flag. It was gifted to our Executive Director, Mark, by his uncle, who served our country in World War II — giving this moment a meaning far beyond simply raising a flag for the first time.

Tomorrow, it will fly at half-staff as our nation remembers September 11th — honoring the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

May this flag always remind us of those who served, those we lost, and the freedom we are privileged to call home.

With more than 30 years of culinary experience, Chef Marcelo brings an incredible background to Prime—from iconic New York City kitchens like Tavern on the Green and Rockefeller Center to fine dining, corporate culinary leadership, and senior living.For Chef Marcelo, great food is about so much more than what’s on the plate. It’s about bringing people together, learning the dishes that make someone feel at home, sharing stories, and creating meals that become memories.

It’s pretty incredible to see the future lifestyle of Prime Gastonia already coming to life — friendships are forming, connections are growing, and a true sense of community is taking shape before we’ve even opened our doors.
