Finger Lakes Health is a proud affiliate of University of Rochester Medicine. Finger Lakes Health is a not-for-profit health system that provides a full range of acute and long-term care health services to residents of the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York. Finger Lakes Health is comprised of Geneva General Hospital, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, The Homestead at Soldiers & Sailors, Huntington Living Center and the Living Centers at Geneva – North and South. Services are provided on three campuses located in Geneva, NY (Ontario County), Waterloo, NY (Seneca County) and Penn Yan, NY (Yates County). The 660-bed health system is governed by a common Board of Directors and is served by a common management team. With 85 active staff physicians, the health system offers a broad range of primary, specialty and sub-specialty services to residents of the Finger Lakes region. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. Discounts for essential services at our outpatient clinics are offered based on family size and income.

Free Pre-Dialysis Education Class on Thursday, October 22 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Center. This is for patients with kidney disease and a support person.

The class is designed to acquaint patients with kidney disease, treatment options, diet and adjusting to life with kidney disease.

Registration is required.
Attendees can register by calling (315) 787-4580. Registrants must leave their name, phone number and how many guests will be attending.

There’s still time to honor a veteran or active-duty service member through the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s Remember and Honor Initiative.

For a $10 donation, the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will place the name of a veteran or active-duty service member on our Remember and Honor boards displayed in the hospital lobby through Veterans Day.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, it is a great way to recognize the service and sacrifice of those who helped protect our freedoms.

Simply send the service member’s name, note whether the tribute is in honor or memory, and mail it with $10 cash or a check payable to Soldiers and Sailors Auxiliary to: Loree MacKerchar, 300 North Ave., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
