We have so many different ways of describing the divine. Different names, images, symbols, and teachings.

But what if we looked beyond the language we use to describe it?

Energy moves through everything. Nature, relationships, our bodies, and all of life.

We don’t have to give it the same name or understand it through the same lens to experience connection.

Sometimes I think we get so caught up in defining things that we forget to simply experience them.

Energy is energy. The language we put around it is how we make meaning of it. ❤️

What if the things resurfacing in your life aren’t here to pull you backward, but to invite you to see how much you’ve changed?

Good morning, beautiful people. ❤️

This morning I pulled the High Priestess activation card, and the message of transformation felt so aligned with what I’ve been experiencing lately.

There is so much shifting. Within me, within my community, and perhaps within you too.

With Venus in retrograde, I’ve been reflecting on how relationships, old beliefs, familiar patterns, and even our relationship with money can come back into our awareness.

And I’ve been asking myself something.

Is this something I am meant to revisit? Is there something here still asking for my attention? Or am I simply feeling the comfort of something familiar, even though I know I’m moving in a different direction?

I don’t think we always need to know the answer right away.

Sometimes we need to get quiet enough to listen. To observe what’s happening without immediately making it good or bad. To notice what belongs to us and what may be someone else’s story or projection.

And to remember that we have community. People we can turn toward when things feel uncertain.

This is the practice of Living From the Heart.

Staying open to what life brings while continuing to cultivate a life that feels aligned with who we are becoming.

Sharing a little morning reflection and a message from the High Priestess with you today.

Maybe there’s something here for you, too. 🤍🪶

I’ve spent years learning about healing, both through my work as a therapist and through my own experiences of being human.

And one thing I continue to discover is that understanding ourselves doesn’t mean we stop experiencing fear, grief, uncertainty, or old patterns.

We can know why we do something and still find ourselves doing it.

We can experience profound moments of healing and return to our everyday lives, where the real practice continues.

In our relationships. In our families. In the moments when life becomes uncomfortable.

I’ve come to believe that healing isn’t something we finish before we begin living.

We heal through living.

And we don’t have to do it alone.

This is why I created the Living From the Heart Fellowship.

A community for people who have done healing work and want to practice living it, in connection with others.

A place to come together, share our experiences, recognize ourselves in one another, and explore what it means to live with greater presence, compassion, and authenticity.

Not another place where we have to fix ourselves.

A place where we can practice being human.

Because sometimes what we’ve been searching for isn’t another healing experience or another teaching.

Sometimes it’s genuine connection.

A place to belong.

Geese symbolize family, loyalty, belonging, protection, and the journey we take together.

They remind us that we aren’t meant to carry everything alone. Sometimes we lead, sometimes we follow, and sometimes we simply stay beside one another.

A beautiful reminder that healing happens in connection. 🤍🪶

Emotional Capacity Is Not Overfunctioning

Most of us were praised for being “strong.”

But many of us were not actually emotionally regulated.
We were adapted.

We learned how to:
keep going,
take care of everyone else,
stay productive,
push through exhaustion,
and suppress our own needs.

That is not always emotional capacity.

Sometimes that is survival.

Real emotional capacity may look more like:

• staying present during discomfort,
• allowing emotions without immediately fixing them,
• tolerating uncertainty,
• receiving support,
• resting without guilt,
• and remaining connected to yourself while life unfolds.

Overfunctioning can look powerful externally while disconnecting us internally.

Healing is not always becoming “more capable.”

Sometimes it is learning how to stop abandoning yourself in the process of carrying everything else.

🤍

Where do you already feel most alive, present, and connected in your life right now?

There is a moment I keep finding myself in lately.

Right before I speak.

I can feel the words forming.
I can feel the urge to say them well.
To be clear.
To be understood.
To not disrupt the moment.

And then something interrupts that.

Not loudly.
Not dramatically.

But enough.

I can feel that if I speak from there
I am not actually in myself.

I am managing something.

So I stop.

And what is left is not clarity.

It is presence.

A feeling in my chest that has not been organized yet.
A truth that does not have the right language.
A moment that could go in many directions.

This is the edge.

The place where I used to reach for words
to bring things back into control.

To make sure I am felt the right way.
To make sure I do not lose connection.

But something in me no longer wants to do that.

So I stay.

Not knowing how it will land.
Not knowing what it will create.
Not knowing if it will be received.

Just staying.

There is a quiet unraveling happening here.

The version of me who knew how to speak in a way
that kept everything intact

is loosening.

And what is left is simpler.

More honest.

Less certain.

But more real.

I can feel how much of my identity
was built in the space between feeling and speaking.

In the shaping.
In the softening.
In the making it land.

And now

there is less space between those things.

There is just this.

Breath.
Sensation.
A truth that has not been perfected.

And the choice

to stay with it.

⸻

This is what presence feels like for me right now.

Not peaceful.

Not resolved.

⸻

But here.

If you’re feeling this too
you’re not losing your voice.

You’re coming closer to it.

If you want to keep walking this in a supported space, I’m holding a one day retreat on May 17.

A place to slow down, feel, and stay with yourself without needing to have it all together.

You’re welcome there.
