Spring is here, and Ms. Patty is hard at work making The Waters more beautiful than ever! 🌸

Did you know gardening offers so many wonderful benefits for those in Memory Care?

It can help:
🧠 Stimulate memory and cognition by engaging familiar sensory experiences (sight, smell, touch)
💆‍♀️ Reduce stress and anxiety through calming, hands-on activity
🤲 Encourage physical movement and coordination with gentle, purposeful tasks
😊 Boost mood and emotional well-being by increasing feelings of joy and accomplishment
🌱 Promote sensory engagement with flowers, herbs, and soil textures
🤝 Foster connection and communication through shared activity with staff and peers
💛 Create a sense of purpose and routine, which is especially meaningful in Memory Care

We love seeing Ms. Patty take pride in helping nurture a space that feels comforting, familiar, and full of life for our residents and helping make The Waters a place she’s proud to live in! 🌷
