Practice what you preach. 🤍

I was overdue for a massage.

Not because I don’t know how important it is. Not because I don’t value taking care of myself. Life just got a little full for a while, and some things had to move down the list.

I think most of us can relate to that.

But things don’t have to stay there.

Now that I have a little more room to take care of myself again, I decided an hour wasn’t going to cut it. 😉 I scheduled two hours and gave myself permission to simply receive.

And yes—it was every bit as wonderful as it sounds.

Sometimes self-care is maintaining a regular routine. And sometimes it’s recognizing that you’ve been running on empty and making a little extra space for yourself when you finally can.

Tonight was the latter. ❤️

Life will always have seasons when we have more to give and seasons when we have less. I’m learning that taking care of myself doesn’t have to be perfect or perfectly consistent.

Sometimes it simply means noticing when there’s finally a little room again—and choosing to make some of that room for yourself.

I’m glad I did. 🤍

After 14+ years as a massage therapist, I still don't take referrals for granted.

When someone new comes in and I ask how they found me, so often the answer is, “A friend told me about you.”

That's a pretty special thing when you think about it. You're trusting me with someone you care about.

Every recommendation, every tag, every time you mention my name when someone says their neck hurts or they need a good massage therapist — it matters.

My practice has been built one relationship at a time, and so much of that has happened because my clients have quietly shared my name with other people.

Thank you for thinking of me. And thank you for trusting me enough to recommend me.

I notice. ❤️

What exactly is Neuromuscular Cupping?

You may have seen cupping before—especially the telltale circles it can sometimes leave behind. But there’s much more to cupping than simply placing cups on the body and waiting.

Neuromuscular cupping is one of the techniques I may incorporate into a massage session when I’m working with an area that feels tight, tender or restricted.

Most massage techniques apply pressure into the tissue. Cupping gives me another option. The suction created by the cup gently lifts the skin and underlying tissues, creating a different type of stimulus than traditional compression.

The cups can also be moved and used dynamically rather than simply left in one place.

And just like any other technique I use, cupping isn’t right for every person—or every tight muscle. It’s another tool I can choose when I think it may be useful for what your body needs that day.

Over the next few posts, I’ll share a little more about how neuromuscular cupping works, why I use it, and yes…we’ll talk about those circles too. 😊

"I have hope!!!" 💙

Those three words made my whole day.

This client came to me struggling with TMJ pain — the kind that's exhausting, relentless, and hard to explain to people who haven't felt it. After just one session using my multi-technique approach, something shifted.

When I work with TMJ, I don't rely on just one method. I combine:
✦ Myofascial release — to release deep tension in the jaw and surrounding tissue
✦ Hot stones — to melt chronic muscle holding and calm the nervous system
✦ Gentle neuromuscular cupping — to restore circulation and mobility

So many of my clients have told me they'd "tried everything" before finding their way to my table. If that sounds like you, I'd love to be your next step.

It’s okay to indulge!
Wellness isn’t about restriction — it’s about balance. Dark chocolate can be a great choice when you want a little treat. Enjoy the dopamine boost, and let yourself experience pleasure without guilt. A little indulgence can be deeply nourishing.
