Trevor Allen Ketelsen, 31, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Georgetown. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, the son of Krissy May Brown and the late Allen Ray Ketelsen.

Trevor graduated from Carvers Bay High School and later attended career school, where he studied to become a certified welder. He was known for his kind heart, respectful nature, and willingness to help others in any way he could.

A hard worker and very intelligent, Trevor had the ability to build anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed bowling, playing the piano and guitar, and riding dirt bikes.

In addition to his mother, Trevor is survived by one daughter, Addisyn; his two brothers, Eric Brown and Joseph “Little Joey” Hygh; one sister, Cheyenne Allen; his grandmother, Annie L. Martin and Randy of Surfside Beach; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Georgetown; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ohio; and cousins in Georgia and Texas.

He was preceded in death by this grandmother, Ginny May, and his grandfather, Dean Ketelsen.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2026 in Antioch Cemetery in the Rhems Community of Georgetown County.

Arrangements are in the care of the Maryville Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home, 843-546-4184.

Martha Gatlin Long passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026.

Born on October 5, 1934, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Martha lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, friendship, and community. She spent many years in Hopkins, South Carolina, before retiring to Pawleys Island, where she enjoyed the coastal life she loved.

Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin B. Long; her parents, Versula Edwins Gatlin and Marvin M. Gatlin; her brother, Edwin Gatlin; her sisters, Sue Jackson and Doris Schooner; and her cherished granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth Long.

She is survived by her son, Franklin B. Long, Jr. of Beaufort, South Carolina, and her daughter, Terri L. Price of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, along with her son-in-law, Steven W. Price. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Brittany Marie Long of Columbia, South Carolina; Ashton Elizabeth Price of San Francisco, California, and her husband, Patrick Ryan Cummings; and Steven Grant Price of St. Petersburg, Florida, and his wife, Taylor Stufflebeam Price. Martha was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Cameron James Price of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Martha found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing bridge, golfing, and, above all, talking with people-always bringing warmth and connection to those around her.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many friends who checked on her, offered support, and shared in her life over the years.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Eric Bentley Varn

Eric Bentley Varn, 57, died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his residence in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Born June 25, 1968, he was a son of the late Dr. George H. Varn, Jr. and Sue Bentley Varn.

Eric is survived by his loving wife, Kate Cromartie Varn; his children, William Bentley Varn and Katherine LaBruce Varn; his brother, Mark H. Varn (Amanda); and his sister, Sharon V. Groat (Geoff). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Scott Varn, K. Logan Varn, Eliza Groat, Suzanne Groat, Lilly Cromartie, and J.B. Cromartie; his uncles, David W. Varn and William “Billy” Varn (Julie); and many extended family members whom he loved and cared for deeply.

Eric was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting and fishing. He especially loved North Inlet and knew its waters, oyster beds, and sandbars like the back of his hand. A graduate of the College of Charleston, he was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. Eric loved his pets, enjoyed spending time at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, and cared deeply for his family. He devoted himself earnestly to the care of his parents throughout their lives.

He previously attended Duncan Memorial Methodist Church and was a current member of Prince George Winyah Parish.

A memorial service will be held at Prince George Winyah Parish on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Animal Center or Tidelands Community Hospice.

Nancy Williams Hudson, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.

Nancy was born on October 13, 1948, in Graceville, Florida, to Norma Hinson Williams and George Clinton Williams, both of whom preceded Nancy in death. Nancy was also preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Williams of Panama City, Florida.

Nancy devoted much of her life to caring for others. A registered nurse for 24 years, Nancy served the community with compassion and dedication, including 19 years as the school nurse at Sampit Elementary School. Nancy touched the lives of countless children, families, and coworkers before retiring.

Nancy was a faithful member of Lakewood Baptist Church for many years and valued the fellowship and faith community deeply.

Above all, Nancy cherished family. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. Few things brought more joy than time spent with grandchildren, proudly embracing the role of Nana and creating lasting memories filled with love. Nancy also had a fond love of shopping, which brought happiness and many shared moments with family.

Nancy is survived by a loving husband, Jerry William Hudson; a son, Jerry William “Will” Hudson II of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and daughters, Rebecca Hudson Midgett (Matthew) of Wasilla, Alaska, and Martie Gail McCallum (Mac) of Lugoff, South Carolina.

Nancy was a proud Nana to granddaughters Nicole Ashton Midgett, Samantha June Midgett, and Paige Elizabeth Midgett, all of Wasilla, Alaska, who were a constant source of joy and pride.

Nancy is also survived by a sister, Martha Gail Williams (Joe Moore) of Destin, Florida, and a brother, Gary Williams (Debbie) of Bellaire, Texas.

A service and burial in Panama City, Florida, will be held this summer, with details to be announced at a later date.

Nancy will be remembered for warmth, dedication to others, and deep love for family. Nancy’s presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
