👁 June is Cataract Awareness Month 👁

Cataract is one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States. If not treated, cataracts can lead to blindness. In addition, the longer cataracts are left untreated, the more difficult it can be to successfully remove the cataract and restore vision.

La Red Health Center can provide primary care which including vision checks and preventative screenings. We also provide diabetic-related blindness screenings and other chronic disease management services.

Every May, Healthy Vision Month is celebrated to raise awareness about eye health, encourage preventive care, and promote healthy eye habits.

Approximately 37 million adults in the U.S. have an eye health condition that may lead to vision impairment or blindness. These conditions include Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataracts, and more.
