I was introduced to Reiki in 2010, while recovering from a series of Major Spinal Reconstruction surgeries. As my life, and healing, were enhanced by Reiki, I became aware of Universal Life Force Energy, also known as Ch'i, ki, or prana, and was inspired to share Reiki with others. I received my Reiki 1 Attunement from Sonoma County Reiki founder and Reiki Master, Kyla "Kharma" Strong, in Septembe
r of 2011. Since then, my Chakras have opened, while continuing my Reiki studies at the Center for Sacred Studies, in Guerneville, California, as I practiced on myself, family, animals, friends, and plants. My teachers include Reiki Masters Emily Sanchez, and Valerie Booker-Hausmann. I personally have met people claiming Reiki has helped them. Among those people some are struggling with Brain Tumors, degenerative Bone Disease, and Cancer. In addition to pain, stress, anxiety, headaches, PTSD, insomnia, GERD, high blood pressure, pre and post surgery patients, and COPD, so many things> All claim that Reiki has helped them. I have learned that Reiki is profoundly effective in relieving pain, managing stress, healing wounds, and gaining new direction, or focus, in life. I received my Reiki 3 Attunement, becoming a Reiki Master, on the Solstice, December 21st, 2013. My life, and outlook, have changed to embody a positive attitude, as a healer. I practice Reiki every day, and most days I try to include Hatsu Rei Ho, Kundalini Breathwork, Nadi Shodhana, Yoga, and Gassho. I try to honor Dr. Mikao Usui's Reiki principles: Just for today, do not anger, do not worry, be honest, be humble, be compassionate toward yourself and every living thing.
