🐴 A new approach to healing is coming to GBHI!

Here’s a sneak peek at something we’ve been working hard to bring to our patients at Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute, our highly anticipated Equine Therapy Program!

We’re excited to soon offer equine-assisted programming for both our inpatient and outpatient groups, creating a unique opportunity for patients to connect, build confidence, practice emotional regulation, and experience the therapeutic benefits of working alongside these incredible animals.

And what makes this even more exciting? Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute will be the only psychiatric hospital in the greater Austin area offering this type of equine therapy programming onsite for our patients.

This is more than a new program, it’s another way we’re thinking differently about behavioral healthcare and creating meaningful, experiential opportunities for healing.

🐴 Healing doesn’t always happen in a traditional therapy room. Sometimes, it happens outside, alongside a horse, and in moments of connection that can make a lasting difference.

Stay tuned… we’re just getting started. 👀
