Breast cancer can change everything — how you move, how you feel and how you navigate everyday life.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honor every person facing breast cancer and every survivor continuing their journey. This month is about more than pink ribbons. It’s about supporting patients at every stage of treatment and recovery. Recovery looks different for everyone, but no one should have to face the challenges alone.

Our ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program helps patients manage treatment-related side effects, regain strength and function and return to the activities that matter most, whether it’s returning to the dance floor, getting back to work or being more present with your loved ones.

Our Sellersburg center helped pack 178 pounds of slime for Calla Lilly Slime Shop as a part of the Look Out For The Left Out mission. It will sell for $3,700, with proceeds funding Casa Calla in Romania, which helps protect teen girls from human trafficking there.

Denise Jones was in an accident that severely injured her ankle, resulting in multiple surgeries and eventually leading to a total ankle replacement. After that operation, she found herself at our Brandenburg center.

Prior to her injury, Denise enjoyed attending public events, but the injury made walking painful and difficult. Crowds were also a nightmare to navigate since she was using crutches and a boot.

When she began physical therapy, Denise had limited mobility, pain and significant muscle atrophy after not putting weight on her ankle for months. She was unable to walk for distances and struggled with steps, too.

Throughout recovery, Denise began meeting milestones like walking in her boot without crutches, moving her ankle in all directions with little resistance from her new joint, transitioning from the boot to a normal shoe and walking normally.

"I am able to live without second-guessing all the details of plans," Denise shared. "After years of a limp, intense arthritis pain and limitations, I finally feel almost completely back to normal."

Denise worked closely with Physical Therapist Tanner Wilson, who encouraged her to reach whatever was her best was that day, never treated physical therapy as a punishment and always listened to what she needed.

"I finally have my life back," Denise said.
