BLUE SANTA!
Please join us as we host the Sunrise Rotary Club with their annual Toy Drive. The Rotary Club sets up donation barrels and donate their time to collect toys or monetary donations for the Georgetown Police Department's Blue Santa Toy Drive. Toys are sorted into age-appropriate categories by amazing Blue Santa Workshop Elves and special Christmas boxes are filled for families who apply for assistance. On Valentine's Day of this year, our beloved Office Manager, Paulette Maidlow passed away. The Toy Drive was her favorite volunteer function of the year. Please come by and drop off a toy or come by on December 6 between 9am and 12noon through the drive through drop off, and donate in memory of Paulette.

We, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, understand that after the loss of a loved one there are many times during the year that are especially difficult for families. Christmas can be the most difficult since it is a time for families to gather together.
To commemorate your loss, we have planned a Christmas Remembrance Service to give you, your family members, and your friends a time to acknowledge your loss, light a candle of remembrance, and honor your loved one in a special way.
The service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 3-5 pm in our chapel and is open to all members of your family, including children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Our hope is that the afternoon will be uplifting and encouraging to you and your family. Please feel free to forward this invitation.
Please RSVP by Monday, December 8, 2025 by calling our office at 512-863-2564 OR you may email Aime Mangone at [email protected]. Please let us know Yes or No, & the # of guests in your group.

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE HANGING COFFINS OF ASIA?
The Bo people, a community who lived in China's Sichuan and Yunnan regions, overlooking the longest river in Asia, were referred to "sons of the cliffs." The tribe vanished, but it left behind the Hanging Coffins of Asia. There is no confirmed explanation for these cliffside burials, but theorists believe they could have been a way for the bodies to be nearer to God or avoid being broken apart by wild animals.

What do you know about the hanging coffins of China and the mysterious Bo People? How did they make the hanging coffins, and how did they suspend them from the mountainside? And why the high burials?
