Violets in Bloom: An Evening of Mission, Compassion, and Celebration
May 20, 2026
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the elegant Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, New York, came alive as Cabrini of Westchester hosted its Twenty-Seventh Annual Sharing in Mission Celebration Dinner, themed Violets in Bloom.
Surrounded by beauty, fellowship, and a shared commitment to compassionate care, the evening brought together an inspiring gathering of community leaders, board members, staff, supporters, and friends in celebration of mission-driven service and stewardship.
Special recognition goes to Bonita Burke and Simone Smith of Cabrini of Westchester for their dedication, leadership, and efforts in helping create such a meaningful and memorable evening.
Among those in attendance were Trish Gathers, President & CEO of The Carmelite System, and Mother Mary Rose Heery, O.Carm., Prioress General of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, who was accompanied by a host of Carmelite Sisters whose presence beautifully reflected the enduring spirit, unity, and mission of the congregation.
The evening beautifully honored this year’s distinguished honorees while reaffirming the shared commitment to dignity, compassion, and service that continues to define Cabrini of Westchester and The Carmelite System.
