Today is National Purple Heart Day. Purple Hearts are awarded to the US service members who were wounded or killed during combat. We honor the men and women who earned the Purple Heart for their service and sacrifice.

We tried a new game this week…Ping Pong Toss! We tossed balls into egg cartons it was a great way to work on our range of motion skills. The residents loved it!

Bubble Karaoke! We don’t know who enjoyed it more, the resident’s or staff! If you were in the building yesterday, you definitely heard lots of laughing going on. It was one of the funnest activities we’ve ever done!

Camp Astoria! We had a camp themed day here at Astoria. We enjoyed some of the favorite things that go along with camping. Fishing, Smore’s, campfire songs and spending time with friends & family! Thank you so much to all the staff for all your hard work to make this such a fun experience for the residents!

The Port of Call theme for this month is Bora Bora! Bora Bora is a beautiful tropical island, and we are excited for the residents to experience their culture this month through food, activities and fun. We can't wait! 🏖️
