Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ fro

m other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Our patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy at least 5 days each week.

Welcome Our New CEO: Garrett Rich, PT, DPT, MBA

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital is pleased to welcome Garrett Rich, PT, DPT, MBA, as our new Chief Executive Officer. Garrett brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and a deep passion for helping patients achieve their highest level of independence and recovery.

A licensed physical therapist by training, Garrett earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UT Health Sciences and later completed his Master of Business Administration at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee.

Prior to joining Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital as CEO in July 2026, Garrett served as Director of Therapy and Case Management at Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital, where he spent more than five years helping lead clinical operations and advance patient-centered rehabilitation services. He also participated in the Lifepoint Health Executive Fellow Program, further developing his healthcare leadership and strategic management expertise.

Throughout his career, Garrett has been a strong advocate for combining innovative rehabilitation technologies with compassionate, skilled care. He believes that the greatest outcomes are achieved when clinical excellence, meaningful patient relationships, and a culture of teamwork come together to help individuals regain function and return to the lives they choose.

Garrett's leadership is grounded in a commitment to excellence, service, and improving patient outcomes. We are excited to welcome him to the Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital family and look forward to the vision, experience, and dedication he will bring to our team, patients, and community.
