🫐 SIMPLE FUEL — PARABLE RECIPE
A Little Taste of Summer Blueberry Muffins
There is just something wonderful about a homemade blueberry muffin with my morning coffee! ☕🫐
These were made with fresh blueberries I tucked away in the freezer this summer. Simple ingredients, a little preparation, and something delicious to enjoy months later.
And here’s something else worth remembering…
Stewarding the machine does NOT mean eliminating carbohydrates!
Carbs still get such a bad rap, but they’re an important part of nourishing our bodies!
💪 Carbohydrates help:
* Provide energy for our daily activities.
* Fuel our muscles during exercise and movement.
* Replenish our body’s stored energy.
* Supply glucose, an important fuel for our brains.
* Support healthy digestion when we choose fiber-rich carbohydrate sources.
Our bodies need nourishment, not punishment!
It’s not about fearing a muffin or labeling carbohydrates as bad. It’s about understanding what food provides, practicing moderation, and making intentional choices.

✝️ The Parable — Nourishment With Purpose
Sometimes we become so focused on what we think we should remove from our lives that we forget to appreciate what God has provided.
Food is a wonderful example.
Carbohydrates aren’t the enemy. They serve a purpose, just as protein and fat do.
And isn’t that a lesson for life, too?
Good stewardship isn’t about doing without everything we enjoy. It’s about learning to use what we’ve been given wisely, with gratitude and self-control.
“Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
So yes, I’ll enjoy my homemade blueberry muffin with my coffee. I’ll continue fueling my body, exercising self-control, and remembering that a healthy lifestyle is built through consistent choices—not unnecessary restrictions.
Simple Fuel. Steward the machine. Fuel the calling. Reflect His glory. ✝️💪🏻💜
